If you understand the double edge sword principle you may want to avoid such occuarnces because ,in the cooperate world is even more brutal than you expect .Try as much as possible to stay calm as much as you can ensuring you are capable enough. Make your moves in silent,is very dangerous if you want to be frontal with your former employers and be professional as much as you can. The good news is you are leaving anyway so be wise and dont be quick to burn the bridges you cross.
